This is part of my “what to keep in your” series. I have a little bit of an obsession about being prepared for anything. After all, there has been that ONE time I didn’t have a plastic baggie with me. 🙂 These are items that I personally feel are a “must have”
How much time do you spend in your car? I’ve heard of these mythical people who only have to drive five minutes to work or to the store. Me, I live twenty minutes away from civilization so I spend quite a bit of time in the car.
There are a few different things that I always try to keep in my car. They are items that make my life easier, more comfortable or entertains me when I’m on the road. These are in addition to the typical roadside assistance and first aid kit you should always have in your car.
Portable Charger & Cords
I always loose my car chargers or break them so I keep portable chargers in the car.
I can’t stand the feeling of dry lips.
Post It Notes
I use these for quick notes, directions or for my daughter to color on.
The radio in the car does not work. While I wait to replace it, I use a bluetooth speaker. It’s not the best sound but better than nothing!
Great for cleaning up messes of all kinds.
You just never know!
Let’s just say I’ve been stuck on a mountain in traffic unable to find a restroom. When you can’t get out of the car, you have to be a little bit creative!
I keep a few water bottles in case I forget to bring one a long with me.
For when hunger strikes!
Coloring Books & Pencils
For my daughter’s amusement.
You never know when you need to write something down.
I always seem to break my nails in the car.
For the times I forget to put my glasses on my face before leaving. It’s happened before.
For the sun.
I keep a small tube of lotion for dry hands.
For emergencies or for looking for something that rolled under the seat.
For motion sickness, trash, dirty clothes, ect. So many uses!
Please, keep all of your items secured in your car. I’m a bit paranoid after reading about how any object can become a projectile in an accident. It’s a scary thought but better safe than sorry!
How about you? What are your must haves for the car?
