Why is there so much judgment between moms? Isn’t it enough that everyone else judges us? Do we have to do it to each other? As much as I would like to say that I have never judged other mom, I’m guilty.
Even before I had a child, I would assume I knew why that mom caved over her kid throwing a fit in the grocery store over a candy bar. She was a weak mother. Unable to discipline her own child. Why did I have to witness her kid screaming? When I had a child, I would always keep my kid in line.
Ha. That did NOT happen. At all.
Does that mean I don’t pass judgment anymore?
No. It doesn’t. I think it’s gotten better but I still have those moments where a judgmental thought crosses my mind.
I wish the whole cycle would stop. That moms would respect other moms. Even if they have a different parenting style. At the end of the day, we are all trying to raise our kids the best we can.
