While on my quest for a laundry soap that wouldn’t irritate my skin, I came across Charlie’s Soap. Immediately, I was intrigued. After contacting them, I was graciously sent a few of their products to test out. Please note that I was not compensated or required to write this post. I wanted to get that little disclaimer out of the way because I am seriously in love with brand.
About Charlie’s Soap:
I just love companies with interesting back stories. Charlie’s Soap started as a cleaner for industrial machines. Soon, customers realized that it could clean everything. Some customers even used it to clean their false teeth while others used it to clean engines! Talk about multi-purpose. In 2002, Charlie’s Soap became a world-class business selling cleaning soap and laundry detergent and more. You can read the entire back story here. It really is fascinating.
Powder Laundry Detergent
My absolute favorite product from Charlie’s Soap is their powder laundry detergent. I was a little concerned at first about the size of the bag but then I realized how concentrated it is.
There are so many reasons why I wanted to test out this detergent
It is safe for septic systems.
Can use in standard and HE washing machines.
It contains only natural mineral and biodegradable ingredients.
You only need to use one tablespoon for a large load of laundry.
It does not contain any perfumes, dyes, bleach, phosphates or abrasives.
It cleans the residue of old (and irritating!) laundry detergent from your clothing. If you want to do this, simply deep clean your laundry by washing it a couple times with this soap. Easy.
I put this detergent to the test to find out if it really works. After about 50 loads of laundry, I can honestly say that this stuff really works.
The laundry comes out smelling clean and fresh. I truly cannot describe how amazing that is. Even the laundry I forgot about overnight before drying smelling great. Tell me I’m not the only one who washes clothes and forgets to put them in the dryer. Usually, I have to rewash them due to a funky smell. Not this time.
My skin issues have dramatically decreased since I started using this. My daughter’s eczema barely bothers her anymore. I cannot believe I found something that works for both of us. All of you out there with sensitive skin knows what a feat that is!
The price varies slightly from store to store but you should be able to find it for under $16. This stuff seems to last forever. I’ve done countless loads (with deep cleaning!) and I’m only half way through my bag. I am ordering mine from Vitacost. If you are a new customer, you can sign up and get $10 off your next purchase! (affiliate link) I haven’t seen it in stores but on their website, you can search to see if any stores around you carry it.
I am a complete and total convert to this laundry soap now. I cannot imagine going to a different brand. No, I am not a “spokesperson” for this brand (although I’m willing to be!). I am just that happy with it.
I’m still testing the other products I was sent. Look for a review of them coming soon!
