Check for errors with all credit bureaus.
Dispute any errors that you find.

On credit karma, you can dispute your Transunion errors directly from their site. For other bureaus, you can dispute from the respective sites. It is so easy to dispute errors now that you can do it electronically.
Plead your case.
If you’ve missed a payment or two, it doesn’t hurt to ask the creditor to remove it. They are under no obligation to do so, but many will for faithful customers.
In order to raise your credit score, you are going to have to rebuild it. I’ve found that the best option for me was to open up a secured credit card. After a few months of on-time payments, I was able to open up an unsecured card with the same company.
